Just discovered this gorgeous real wedding via 100 Layer Cake, and I can't decide what I love more... the amazing dress (look at that neckline!), the beautiful details or the stunning photography that captures it all so perfectly. Actually, I think it is the photography that I love the most... these shots are just beyond perfect, in my opinion.

Light, ethereal and whimsical - and with a definite Greek goddess-y feel - these would be perfect for a laidback garden or beach wedding... or dressed up with accessories for something more formal. And best of all... they're all under US$1000! (some from as little as US$550). Let's just say, if I was getting married again, I think I know where I'd be dress shopping...
If you're brave enough to order your wedding dress online, it looks like they accept international orders too... for those designs and prices, I think I could definitely be brave enough! (Or maybe it's a good excuse for a pre-wedding trip to New York?... yes I KNOW, but think of the money you'll save on the dress! hehe)

The much-anticipated White by Vera Wang collection has just launched in the US!
Available exclusively at David's Bridal stores across the country, the new collection of 12 gowns is priced from a very affordable US$600 up to $1400 - an absolute steal for a designer gown, and a Vera Wang at that!
I especially love the strapless gown with the black belt and the tulle skirt - gorgeous.

I can't recall exactly where I found out about top UK makeup artist Lisa Eldridge (it might have been via one of those 'Make me look 10 years younger in 10 hours' type shows?) but all I know is, she's good!
If you're considering doing your own wedding day makeup, her video tutorials are well worth a look, especially her classic bridal makeup tutorial. Her 'Summer Rose' bridal look is also really pretty, and specially designed for brides getting married in hot/humid weather.
So... DIY wedding makeup? Not such a scary prospect if you follow a few of Lisa's video tutorials! And she has a whole lot of videos for everyday makeup application as well. Now maybe I can finally learn how to apply eyeliner without looking like I did it in the dark.

It's great to see so many couples choosing letterpress for their wedding invitations - there really is nothing quite like it!
When I got married (now over two years ago... where does the time go?!) I knew I didn't want to wear a veil, but I quite fancied the idea of a hairpiece of some sort... and then I came across the incredibly talented Myra Kim of Twigs & Honey and couldn't resist getting a little something for my wedding day hair.
Then, at the very last minute, I decided not to wear anything in my hair at all (indecisive much?). But I still have my Twigs & Honey hairpiece, and though it would make more sense to sell it, it's so pretty I kind of just want to keep it. And take it out now and then and look at it. Except that it does make me think I perhaps should have worn it after all...
So let that be a lesson to not be as indecisive as me! Get one of these, and WEAR IT... because really, aren't these just the prettiest bridal hairpieces you've ever seen?
Myra is lovely to deal with, and has a huge range of pieces and prices to choose from (and yes, she ships to Australia!). Most of her items have a turnaround time of a few weeks, so order in advance... but really, I think these are worth the wait!

Who can believe 2010 is almost over... and Christmas is just around the corner?! Certainly not us, this year seems to have flown!

In a recent Etsy prowl we discovered these gorgeous custom made dresses, by the clearly talented The English Department... is there anything you can't find on Etsy?! Some great inspiration here for the perfectly feminine gown, and I love the styling and photography...
Beautiful textures and use of ruffles, and I love the slightly shorter hem lengths... wouldn't these be perfect for an informal, garden party type affair?

Oops. We've been a bit naughty with our blogging of late. Naughty as in... um, we haven't done any. At all. Very bad! But we're back now, and we hope you will forgive our recent blog slackness if we show you something pretty... like these lovely wedding invitations we designed recently for Amanda and Matthew.
It's our ever-popular Springtime design, flat printed, and paired with our gorgeous turquoise and gold birdcage lined envelopes. We love the simple elegance of the black, with splashes of colour scattered throughout the leaves of the tree, and of course the little emerald bird. Now isn't he cute?
